The dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism . Even if you are not a Buddhist, certain Buddhist messages or teachings can be helpful in improving your life.
This is the case with the list of 10 energy thieves which, according to the Dalai Lama, have a negative impact on our lives and prevent us from living and thriving as we would like.
- Stay away from them people who only come to you to share their complaints, their problems , catastrophic stories, their fears and their judgments about others. If anyone is looking for a trash can, make sure it’s not yours .
- Pay your debts on time and, at the same time, get back what’s yours or choose to give it up if it’s impossible to get it.
- Keep your promises . If you haven’t, ask yourself why. You have the right to change your mind, apologize, renegotiate and request an alternative to a broken promise. The best way to avoid having to keep a commitment you don’t want to keep is to say no up front.
- Eliminate or delegate any tasks you would rather not do, and dedicate yourself to what satisfies and fulfills you .
- Give yourself some rest if you need it , or take action if an opportunity presents itself.
- Put away your belongings, clean and don’t leave unnecessary items lying around. A messy space exhausts you and fills with things you don’t need.
- Prioritize your health : If your body isn’t functioning properly, there’s not much you can do.
