Firefighters Are Warning People Not to Leave Water Bottles in Their Cars

The Easy Habit That Removes the Concern

This is the part I love because it doesn’t require buying anything.

When you leave your vehicle:

Take the water bottles with you.

Or, if you have to leave them temporarily, put them somewhere away from direct sunlight where they won’t act as a potential focusing element.

It’s such a simple habit.

You don’t need a special container.

You don’t need an expensive organizer.

You don’t need to remember a complicated checklist.

That doesn’t mean the heat inside the car automatically causes a water bottle to ignite something.

However, the combination of intense sunlight, elevated interior temperatures, and potentially heat-sensitive materials is another good reason not to leave unnecessary items sitting in direct sun.

A car parked in the shade presents a different environment from one sitting in full afternoon sun.

So does a bottle sitting on the floor versus one positioned directly beside a window.

The details matter.
